No Children Policy
No Babies/ Small Children & Safety Policy
At VELT Beauty, safety is always our top priority. We work with hot wax, sharp tweezers, scissors and delicate equipment — which can pose risks to both clients and children if distractions or accidents occur.
For this reason, we enforce a strict no babies or small children policy during treatment appointments.
This helps us to:
-
Maintain the highest standard of safety within the salon
-
Ensure all clients enjoy a peaceful and uninterrupted experience
-
Allow our artists to focus fully on delivering quality treatments
We want to avoid any situation where:
-
Hot wax drips unexpectedly
-
Sharp tools are dropped
-
Items are pulled from shelves (e.g. wax pots, cords or scissors)
- Have a baby or child unsettled, and where other clients who are booked in for relaxing service, may be disturbed (they may also be a mother, taking a well deserved quiet break)
Even with the highest level of care, accidents can happen. Our artists require full concentration to ensure the best and safest results. When clients need to attend to their child, or when children move around the treatment space — it can compromise the quality and safety of the service.
Why this policy is important
-
During brow services, clients sit upright with eyes closed and must remain still. If a baby cries and a client looks down, wax could be applied incorrectly — putting the eyes and face at risk.
-
Curious little hands may reach for wax sticks, tools or cords — posing immediate danger.
-
During a lash appointment, your eyes are closed and for a long period of time, therefore your child is then completely unsupervised. Understandably for a little one, this is too long to sit quietly for!
-
We have previously had a child pull a HOT wax pot off the bench by the cord. Thankfully, no one was harmed, but we will never take that risk again.
We understand this may not always be convenient and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm and enjoyable environment for everyone, including you.
Bringing Older Children
If your child is old enough (primary school age) AND is able to sit quietly and independently in the room with you, without requiring supervision from you or our team, they are more than welcome to join you.
We kindly ask that:
-
They remain seated and respectful of other clients and staff
-
No sticky foods or drinks are brought into the salon to help keep our space clean and comfortable
- They remain in the treatment room with you, and are not left in the waiting room or walking around.
Thank you for your understanding!
